Te3n featuring Amitabh Bachchan got cleared with no issues and cuts by the censor board as in the case of Shahid Kapoor’s Udta Punjab. I’ll get a chance to shoot again in Kolkata with Mr Bachchan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sujoy,” Vidya had told The Reporter Times. It’s a special appearance, but I was excited about doing it because it’s a fabulous script. Vidya is in a particular appearance, but still an important part of the story. The crux of the story remains whether both the girls were found and culprit gets nabbed, or the two girls remain missing. Vidya Balan is also portraying the role of a policeman who comes into play when the second incident takes place. Nawazuddin is playing the role of a police officer who gets turned into priest as he couldn’t find Angela (granddaughter). While he was still searching for her, a twist comes into the picture as another girl goes missing in the same way. The story of the flick revolves around a grandfather whose granddaughter gets kidnapped and remains missing for over eight years from that incident. The story visible in the film’s trailer looks interesting. Ribhu Dasgupta has directed the latest suspense thriller, and it also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan in significant roles. The film had a special screening attended by some Bollywood celebs. But, before the WW release, the various celebrities watched it in premiere shows.

Sadly, not enough to make Te3N essential viewing.Te3n Movie Review Rating: The latest Bollywood movie Te3n starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role is all set to release on 10th June 2016 worldwide. And yet, watching him doesn’t induce fatigue. Here is an actor who has been on screen for 47 years. I’ve seen these visuals in Kahaani, Piku, Barfi, Byomkesh Bakshy! but still, you can feel the beating heart of a decaying city. And why has Martin become a priest? Because he couldn’t solve one case? The screenplay, by Suresh Nair, Ritesh Shah and Bijesh Jayarajan, doesn’t give them any particularly memorable scenes or even lines.īut a few things stayed with me – Tushar Kanti Ray’s cinematography – the Kolkata that him and Ribhu capture. It doesn’t help that Vidya and Nawaz seem to be on auto-pilot. The pace picks up in the second half but the resolution is predictable. The first half is slow and strangely inert. But despite their presence, Te3N doesn’t soar.
These three are among the best actors currently working in Hindi cinema. Eight years after the incident, the three find themselves retracing their steps when another child is kidnapped. Martin, played by Nawazuddin, was the original cop on the case. Vidya plays Sarita, a tough-talking cop who gently tries to persuade him to find closure. Every single day, he comes to the police station, hoping to find a clue that will lead to the murderer. John Biswas is bent over with guilt and sadness. The tonality is similar to Sujoy’s own infinitely superior Kahaani, which was also a thriller set in Kolkata and which also starred Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.Īmitabh Bachchan plays a grandfather who is trying to solve the mystery of his granddaughter’s death. But apart from the inventive rendering of the title, little feels fresh or original. Te3N is an official remake of the Korean thriller, Montage.
The film, directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and co-produced by Sujoy Ghosh, isn’t actively bad.
